Eisenezrehl - Process Work

I made this project for my senior college creature sculpting course during winter 2023. This was my first time doing a full concept to animated model from scratch, and this was my only sculpting and texturing course. I was somewhat rushed for time to complete this in a 10-week course while also working on two game development teams for my other courses that semester, but I gave every extra hour I could spare to work on it as a personal project and my final work for college. It's not perfect, but I learned a lot in the process, and I think I reached my limits of what I was able to complete in that environment. I ended up turning in the final presentation late after class becuase the renders and video were taking longer than expected to finish, and Unreal Engine is a complex tool to work with. While going far above and beyond the class requirements, I still managed to finish.

This project represents the final coming together of everything I studied at Savannah College of Art and Design, starting out as traditional pencil sketches on notepaper, converting to digital concept art with turnaround perspectives and references, sculpting in ZBrush, topology in Blender, UV, rigging and animating in Maya, texturing in Substance Painter, and putting all of it together as a scene in Unreal Engine.
